SVG Attic DT Project!

Hello everyone! I don't normally get the time to do a project for my own company, but I was able to squeeze one in today.

This past weekend was my birthday! I went out to lunch with my Mom on Saturday and we went shopping at Hobby Lobby. I am so in LOVE with that store and so happy one is finally near me! They often have sales on a lot of thier stuff. I really scored this week. I purchased two metal crosses for my cross collage wall in the Family Room!

I also scored this awesome metal bird cage decoration. It was 50% off and went so well with my new craft studio! I decided to add some paper for the background, I used the Preppy Princess stack from DCWV. I added a few shabby roses to the bottom using hot glue and added some crochet ribbon from Paper Issues and Hobby Lobby.

I cut out two cute birdies from the Welcome Spring SVG collection and the branch they are sitting on is from the Give A Hoot colleciton! I embossed the birds using a cuttlebug folder and inked the edges using colorsnap brown ink.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out our newest set this week 3D Spring Flowers. Get this set free with any $9.98 or more purchase using coupon code FREE at checkout!

I decided to add a tag from the Doodlecharms Cartridge. I sized it at 2" cut it out with orange and yellow textured cardstock and attached it to the bag with twine. I used Shabby Chic Stamp Co. Greetings stamp set for the sentiment.

Recipe Book and Diaper Bag!

Hello everyone and thank you so much for stopping by!

First I will be showcasing a diaper bag gift box I created for a dear friend of mine that is pregnant. She is expecting a baby girl and I just knew this would be perfect for her!

Here is the diaper gift bag closed. I used stamps from Shabby Chic Stamp Co.'s Sweet Pea stamp set on the handle, SVG Attic's Pretty Purses SVG set for the gift bag, and the Baby Girl SVG set as well for the crown.

I embellished the handle of the bag with rhinestones and pearls. I adhered ribbon underneath the handle to give it some fringe. I used double sided pleated ribbon and folded it over and adhered to the bag for the opening. I used green pearls from The Paper Studio to embellish the crown.

Here is the gift bag open. What would a diaper bag be without diapers?!?! I used the diaper inviation SVG file from SVG Attic's Baby Girl SVG set and sized down to fit into the diaper bag. They are the perfect size to stuff with gift cards, which is what I will be doing.

I used the swiss dots embossing folder and my cuttlebug to give added dimesnion to the bag.

Here is an upclose photo of the diapers. I embellished with stamps from Shabby Chic Stamp Co., Shabby Chic roses I found at Michael's in the dollar bin, green pearls from The Paper Studio and I also used a couple green grossgrain ribbon bows. All of the paper is from the DCWV Inc. Preppy Princess Stack.

I just loved creating this and I can't wait to share it with my friend! She is going to LOVE it!

Onto my next project....

Now, I want to tell you how difficult it was to find the PERFECT paper for this project. I went shopping with a dear friend of mine at a LSS of hers which I had never been to and we had a lot of fun! I picked up some kitchen type paper and settled for it. Thankfully there was a Hobby Lobby on the way home so I decided to stop. Thank goodness I did because I found the perfect paper for this Recipe Book!

Here is the front of the recipe book. I used Bo Bunny 9 x 9 chipboard album inserts. To create the front I cut up a large thick oatmeal box, the kind that hold the instant oatmeal, maple and brown sugar to be exact! I created the word "Recipes" in SCAL and cut it out with my cutting machine. I tied ribbons around the binder rings.

The paper I used is from Hobby Lobby, a stack called Farm Fresh.  I thought it was perfect for the look I was trying to get. The stack came with pre-printed recipe cards so I created a box type pouch for the recipe cards to be stored in. To adhere the paper to the chipboard I used Krylon's Easy Tack spray glue. I think this was the fastest and least messy way!

I punched 3/8" holes into the cards to thread ribbon through to give them a pull tab look.

On the bottom of this box I used a cute wodden fence embellishment that I found at Paper Tales in San Diego. I added a few bottle caps and filled them with epoxy stickers and little images from the paper line.

Here is the second tab. I adorned the box with wrapping scrunched ribbon around the sides and bottom. I adhered two medium sized clothespins to the paper and secured bakers twine bundles with them. I thought that was a cute idea for using this section for the baking recipes!

A close up of the baker's twine!

Here I used an action wobble for the apple square. LOVE action wobbles! I was recently given some by a friend and this was my first time using them. I think it is adorable how it bounces back and forth!

Here is another tab. Here I used some yellow pleated ribbon to adorn the bottom of the box, a Tim Holtz safety pin that says Vintage on it.

Cut out a farm fresh SVG image I had in my stash and layered with double sided ruffle ribbon I got at Hobby Lobby. I thought this was the PERFECT ribbon for this project because it is plaid, black/white and it has that country cottage feel to it! I just adore that ribbon!

Here is a close up of the recipe holder. I clipped a clothespin on the top of the box for added character.

The last tab I popped up some squares from the Farm Fresh stack with some foam pop dots. I tied twine to three wooden buttons and adhered those with foam dots as well.

Tied a big pretty yellow bow with organdy ribbon I had in my arsenal. I also ttached some floral washi tape at the bottome of the box!

Here is the back of the book. I am so in love with this recipe book that I think I will be keeping it as a decoration for my kitchen until I am ready to let go of it. I spent a good amont of time on it!

I want to thank you all for stopping by!
